Orientation of the cube
Posted by Petko Minkov 24 Jan 2001 03:02
about "Cube on the walk"

so.. if we have the board,

 a b c d e f g h
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8

 about the cube - where is its forward side looking to
 the left is oriented (h -> a). the right is (a -> h).
 but what about forward and backward? (which is
 (8 -> 1) and which is (1 -> 8) oriented?).

YES it will be 1 directly e2->e2, the bottom becomes the forward, i.e. 0 -> the cost is 1 + 0 = 1. so i don't agree with this orientation
it doesnt matter how Oriented;
